Angel’s Journey

I believe if you have the right intentions, your dreams will come true. I moved to America in 1981 with a dream of my own. In this dream, I brought together all the things I love—good food, beautiful music, friends and family, cheerful smiles and strokes of laughter —all in one place. In my heart, I called this place "Caravan of Dreams."

Before opening Caravan of Dreams, I had spent years learning about nutrition, herbology, and spirituality. I knew food was like medicine—it could heal. I wanted to create a place where people could come and replenish themselves with pure, vegan, & organic food.

It all came together on a spring day in 1991. I was walking by a building on East 6th Street and saw the sunlight striking the brick walls of the building, creating a phantasmagoria of sparkling light. In that moment, I had a vision—groups of people stepping down the two small steps into the warm, dimly lit cafe of my dreams. It wasn't just about opening a restaurant; it was about building a sacred space where people could come to rediscover joy.

When I finally opened the doors of Caravan, it wasn’t the end of a dream, but the beginning of something—a journey—that lasts more than three decades. Over 33 years, Caravan has become more than a restaurant; it's become my life's purpose.
